Jared had to admit it. He was a Christian Kane fan……He would never admit it to anyone though because come on, liking that kind of music when you were 17...sooo not cool, at least with the friends he had.
So when he found out that Chris had a gig at his favorite bar, he sneaked out alone every evening and stood in front of the scene and listened to every word that came from that gorgeous mouth.
As he stood there every night Chris started to notice him, it was hard not to as he was a really tall boy and quite handsome too. Chris liked the way the boy looked and the way he looked at him and since the boy seemed to show up at every gig he decided that the next time he had a chance he would try and talk to him to find out what the boy wanted.

Turned out the next time was Saturday evening and that the entire high school felt like coming to the bar. Jared was there too surrounded by his friends and trying not to be to obvious in the way he looked at Chris.
Chris saw him from the stage and tried to catch his eye, but Jared turned around and looked at his friends, a blonde guy and two brunette girls, and downed what seemed to be his eighth shot in no time.

Jared felt pretty drunk by the time he felt Chris looking at him, but he felt to shy to look right into the eyes of that gorgeous man. Instead he took yet another drink and laughed at something stupid Dave said that made Eli and Joan giggle like mad.

”I dare you,” Eli said and smiled at Jared, who just looked at the girl not quite understanding what she was talking about.
”Huh,” he said and tried to sound more sober than he felt.
”I dare you to talk to the singer,” she said and put her hand out to him.
He took it and asked;” What do I have to say?” He didn’t feel completely at ease with this but damn he wanted to talk to that man, and maybe a dare was a good way to do it.
Eli took a little while to consider that; ”Tell him that you think his voice is sexy” she said with a smirk on her face.
Jared groaned, of cause she would come up with something like that.
”Private or public?” he asked feeling a little afraid of her answer. ”Public of cause” she said rolling her eyes, ”Otherwise we would miss out on all the fun”.

Jared took yet another drink and stood, feeling light-headed but not drunk out of his mind.
He went to the stage and looked up at Chris who was just finishing another song.
Chris looked down at Jared as the customers gave him a polite applause and smiled at him, Jared felt that he would die a happy death right now just from the smile.
”I..ehh…..I think….hmmm…I..I…I” he stammered and looked up at Chris confused expression.
”Ithinkthatyouhaveasexyvoice,” Jared rambled, turning beet red in the face and feeling the entire bar looking at him.
”Come again,” Chris said, the laughter obvious in his voice.
”I…think that you…have…a sexy voice” Jared repeated, taking a deep breath and looking into Chris face.
”Thanks” Chris replied, and smiled at him, and Jared almost swooned at the spot.
”What’s your name?” Chris asked.
”Ja..Jared.”
”Well Jared” Chris said, pulled a piece of paper out of his pocked and wrote a few words on it before handing it to Jared, ” so good to meet you.”
Jared looked at the paper and flashed the biggest smile Chris had ever seen.
”Deal” he said before turning around and smiling towards his friends.

"”I..ehh…..I think….hmmm…I..I…I” he stammered" For some reason it's the hmmm in the middle of this that gets me laughing. I can hear it in my head. I also love that Jared had to look up at CK, it sort of speaks to their relationship despite that soon enough Ck will be the one looking up ;)
